What kind of olive oil is best for baby's skin?....

I can barely know what kind to use in cooking - there are far too many varieties! lol

Obviously I will be buying organic cause I dont know what they use otherwise!...but virgin? extra virgin? does it matter? lmao

Been reading in Julie Gabriel's The Green Beauty Guide this week and she says that "virtually any unscented organic plant oil can be used to moisturize a baby's skin. Avocado, grape seed, and virgin olive oils are among the best." I have recently begun using a calendula-infused olive oil and am using organic EVOO. Hope this helps!

when i worked in a salon we used grapeseed, i think just b/c it's pretty non-stinky.
for olive oil extra-virgin would be the least olive-y smelling.

oooo calendula infused sounds like it would be lush on baby skin!...
I shall see what the health shop has - extra virgin it is though if nothing else! - Thanks!

Ann - I am following you around the internet! LOL!

Weleda has a calendula baby oil and it is lovely as is their calendula lotion. Otherwise just use organic extra virgin.

On a completely unrelated (sorta) note, did you hear about the Olive Oil scandal? Apparently Italy only produces enough Olive Oil for their own country and has only a limited amount for export. People are reporting that a lot of Olive Oil sold in North America is a "watered down" version. They're mixing it with other oil. Just food for thought

I heard natural almond oil is very good too.
