i know a lady who is having a boy. I am heartsick over it. Icant stop thinking about that little baby boy and how much i regret circing my son. i have cried thinking about it. i did talk to her on the phone about leaving her son intact. she said her DH wanted it done and i told her there were videos online that show it being done and how horrible it was and how it was the single most thing that i regret. i want to send her some pamphlets about why to leave intact. does anybody have any links to a nice pamphlet that i can print out for her? she will need info on intact care too. please!?!?

Some good general pamphlets and sites that highlight the reasons for not circumcising:

http://circumcisiondecisionmaker.com/

There are lots of videos on line. NOCIRC has a 20 minutes educational video up on their homepage, which includes a brief segment of a Plastibell circumcision.

Thank you for sharing information with this mother to be. Sharing your story of regret, and how you wish you had had more information is a powerful resource for you to open up people's minds about this issue.

NOCIRC has one of the best pamphlets out about care of the intact penis, including good information of foreskin developments, normal variations in development, and handling minor problems.

I say if she is open to it, then keep giving her support to help her husband understand. Mine was really really against it at first, and we fought about it. But he did realize my point and agreed with me by the end. Now it couldn't be less of an issue. She just has to have the courage to take a stand! Her son with thank her and at the very least, her husband is a grown man and will get over it.

Yes, this link is very good for your pregnant friend who is having difficulty getting her husband to agree. She needs to read it.

As far as videos go, try these: (warning, they are graphic and show nudity, as they are circumcision videos)
