lanolin oil stains?

I use liquid lanolin on my woolies and I keep getting oil stains! I fill the sink with hot water , squirt some lanolin in, add a little cold water, than throw in the woolies to lanolize. What should I do different? The oil is pretty broken up into little drops, so I don't know how to prevent this.

add a little baby soap or olive oil soap & use warm water not cold
