Pink Foil FRER

So FRER is the gold standard right? First you do IC, graduate up to Dollartree tests and then slide into FRER to confirm.

My cycle is between 26 and 29 days (I don't temp as we co-sleep with our LO). Well, on Mother's Day I decided to test with a FRER (see the "Who's testing on Mother's Day" thread). That would have been day 26. 3 minutes later a very faint second pink line popped up. Yeah me right? I showed my DH but he thought the line was too faint to be a true BFP. Tested yesterday. Again a very faint second pink line. When he got home I showed him. He still wasn't convinced so HE poas to see if a second line would automatically pop up. Yup, he got a faint second line too.

So, am I crazy? Does this always happen with pink foil FRER? And if it does what test should I use? Should I just wait 9 months to see if a baby pops out? I'm just so irritated. I'm sitting her totally nauseous but I'm not sure if it's because I'm upset or because I'm pregnant. Believe me, I will be calling customer service to get my $$$ back.

You have a very pink line

he has a grey smudgy-line around where a bfp should be

his is an error. I would feel safe saying yours is not.

May I ask if both of the HIS is from the same test?

I agree that yours look pinker and more like a real line. Do you have any other tests to pee on?

I also have the pink foil FRER's and the ones that have a hint of a line look more like your DH's - and after the 10 minutes so I know they are nothing to get excited about.

I say get a bunch of Dollar Tree tests and try those - FRER's are irritating me, too, this cycle.

From what I see in the pics.. You are pregnant, and he is not.. tell him I am sorry this isn't his month, but I think it is yours.

Get a $store test.. hell get 10 they are just a buck lol.. if your getting faints on those.. your pregnant.

hmmm... we've had a run of pregnant dh's around here, on several different types of tests, although i agree yours is darker and pinker than his. you know, men have lh,which has something to do with how they make testosterone, so i wouldnt be surprised if they just have so much lh that somehow it is making a slight mark on an hpt, since lh and hcg are not that different. just thinking outloud.

just a side note too, about your mention of pecking order of hpts- personally, i would rank ic's over dollar trees, even though they are cheaper. the thing with the dollar trees is you can always just barely make out where the line SHOULD be, which is really distracting, and i also have had several evaps and 1 good wacky pink error on a dollar tree, where the ics have always been stark stark white when negative (except for one that i suspect was legit but didnt stick.)

Mae, I took two tests from one box, he took one test from a different box (although they were all pink foil). I posted two pics of his because it was hard to get the second line to show up. And thanks for working your photo magic. Seriously, you're like the TTC forum queen!

Drummers, I do have one test left and will be peeing on it in the AM. I think today I'm going to head out to get some dollar tree tests.

karmab, maybe we should start a DH TTC#1 without a womb thread. I agree, way too many pregnant DH around here.

If AF doesn't come tomorrow any idea of which is the best digital to buy. I want to get and unequivocal yes or no!

I would get a FRER digital gold... pee on it first thing in the morning or after you have held it and have very concentrated pee, eat salty chips and drink dehydrating things, lol. The FRER digi gave me a +yes days before the CBE digi did.

oh.. and I also wanted to say, your line is definitely pink and defined. there. His line.. I only see in one of the pics and it's grey and smudgy.

same pee as http://canyouseealine.com/hpts/5182.jpg gave me a big NOT PREGNANT on a clearblue easy digital... that one in the pic (the YES+) is first response gold.

Notice how faint the FRER line was too! That was ALSO in the same pee!

so, Ima agree with others- I think you are pg! That is a pink line!

That said, in regards to your DH getting a line- I wanted to add my 2c- I got a faint, faint pink line, in the time limit on a FRER @ 9dpo last month (here, if you are curious http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_h...fm?testID=6911)

I wasn't pg. (or, if I was, it was a chemical that I caught. I never got another line on any test and had a <1 beta a week or so later)

? was yours a "test 6 days early FRER"?

I don't think your DH is, tho and I've started to wonder if maybe the new 6 day FRERs have issues with fake lines? I know there's another mama on here who saw a pink line recently and wasn't pg. (way fainter than yours, tho- like mine and your DH's )

So I used a $tree and my last FRER this morning with FMU. The $tree was stark white BFN and the FRER had a faint grey second line. The new pink foil 6 day earlier tests are throwing off evap lines. I don't trust them anymore.

Today is day 29 of my cycle. I'm usually between 26 and 29 days but since I don't temp there's no way to know when AF will actually come.

I'm bummed I'm not pregnant this cycle but I think it's worse because there was a glimmer of hope. Me and FRER are definitely not on speaking terms.

I'm sorry I hate the pink foiled FRER's right now, too. But still, it's not over until it's over , yk? I keep telling myself that, at least. I'm on day 30 or what is normally a 29 day cycle. But yeah, the reality is i would have a positive by now... frustrating!
