umsami, i am so sorry to hear about this. i hope not only that the police take proper action, but that the larger community will respond in solidarity--for example other churches might speak out against hate, with any luck. i don't watch tv news...but it sounds like i would not have heard anyway. have people from Southern Poverty Law Center or other hate crimes orgs offered help, i wonder.

i hope your community will be able to move ahead with renewed faith and strength.
