BF'ing and Have to fast b4 ultrasound - What to eat last, sip on

I'm nursing an 11-week baby and have to have an ultrasound tomorrow to dx either a hernia, diverticulitis, or something else. Doc says I can't eat anything between 5 am and my 2 pm appt. I don't do hungry well - I get shaky. Hopefully DH will take a half day and help with kids so I can rest (maybe even nap through hunger). What would you eat for your 4 am breakfast? Sip on all day to avoid feeling ill?
I'm thinking sausage, eggs and grits for breakfast and maybe coconut water and green juice during the day. Smoothies are a no-go.

It's probably more important what you eat today. I find my appetite and ability to deal with hunger one day is directly affected by what I ate the day previously. So... I would just eat protein and veggies today. They'll stick around longer (which may not be good if you're having your insides examined, but you'll be more comfortable). Red meat and leafy green veggies, and lots of 'em. For breakfast - same thing, if you can stomach it at 4 am!

Can you sip on bone broth through the day?

I often get shaky when i don't eat but i also often go all day without eating actually until i got pregnant with my ds caden i would often go days without eating breakfast or dinner so can't really help although your idea does seem pretty good although one thing would that not be quite a lot before to eat only an hour before your fasting time, although i don't know anything about this just didn't want to read and not reply.

Of course. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks!

The broth sounds like a great idea. I also want to mention a neat fasting drink that I read about (and tried): 1 tbsp maple syrup, 2 tsp lime juice, 1 cup of hot water. It makes a lovely tea, with a sweet and sour/tangy taste. I fasted 24 hours just drinking this tea when I would normally have eaten and as needed in between.
