Don't know if ground calcite limestone is different from lime or not? But I read on an organic fertilizer site to use ground calcite limestone. Anyone have any resourceful info. for a beginners garden? This is my first garden and we already made our first mistake!LOL I read to puy compost down first then til the ground oh well we have been digging clumps of grass for days now but it is better than applying round up! That's One big mistake we won't make again. I am also looking for zone 8 planting if anyone can lead me to the thread that would be much appreciated. I did a search but over 400 threads appeared and I looked through a few pages with no luck.
Thanks in advance!

I've heard that wood ash is good to use, and very cheep if you have a fireplace or a friend with a woodburning stove.
