No hitting people or animals or mommy's flowers. No throwing towards someone, even if you don't mean to hit them. No eating. No taking a stick that you found that has been placed in the car in to a store or someone elses house.

Ds is 3. He doesn't ride a bike yet and doesn't want to hold a stick (yet) while riding his scooter, so we haven't crossed that bridge, but I don't see it bothering me.

Our rules are, no hitting anything alive (people, animals, etc) and no running.

I seriously have no "stick rules". At 6 years old it's never really come up. He doesn't have that same fascination with sticks that some young boys do

I used to only have the no hitting rule, until a good family friend said that when she was 15, she witnessed a 4 year old who was running with a stick, trip and jab his throat with the stick and died instantly. Now I have a no big stick and running rule.
