Uterus is already out of my pelvis at 8 weeks - why so early?

I thought it was weird that I could feel a bump when I lay on my tummy and wondered why my clothes were starting to fit tighter. It's like 2.5-3" above my pubic bone. How can this be so early on?

that is when mine came out this time.. around 7-8 weeks.. last time too (this is actually my 4th pregnancy)

4th pregnancy, 3rd baby... mine was up and out by my 8 week visit.

my 3rd and 4th pregnancies were/are the same, out by 8 weeks and then measuring hugely ahead until 20 weeks.... from what Ive heard its pretty normal.

Same here as the other posters! For some of us it seems pretty normal...even though it always leaves a bit of wondering about twins! lol Always one baby for us...but another great thing is that often FHT can be detected with a doppler earlier than other mamas!

I just posted something similar. Mine has been out since about that time and today was my 11 week appt. and my fundus is in the middle of my belly halfway up to my belly button.
