"How far along are you?"

I'm confused! I got my first BFP on Saturday, 14 days after my suspected date of ovulation. This made me think I was "2 weeks along". But now I've done a little bit of reading, and it said you count it from your last period.

So in other words, if my LMP started on April 8th, it means that I'm currently at the end of my fifth week??? Is this true?

Sorry, I suck at calculations and would love it if someone could help me out (I won't see my doctor until Monday). Does that mean my first trimester will be over on July 1??

Pregnancy is dated based on you LMP, so if your period was due a week ago, then you would be 5 weeks pregnant. Just google "due date calculator" and you will get an exact date. Congrats!

go from a false LMP date of 14 days before ovulation... if you think you ovulated 2 weeks ago, you are 4 weeks along

Due date from LMP is unreliable for any woman who does not ovulate on CD14, and considering your LMP would make you 1 week further along than you think you are... you would risk unnecessary induction if you went too far past that due date.

You're right, when you're "two weeks pregnant" you're not even pregnant yet. This was all pretty confusing to me too, I just went based on what FF told me

I got my BFP at 9dpo and I was 3w2d. According to my calculations, when you got your BFP at 14dpo, you were 4 weeks exactly, which makes you 4w3d today.

I'm pretty sure that's right, but someone correct me if I'm wrong!

If you know when you ovulated, just add two weeks to that date. I have longer cycles, so I had to fib a little on my LMP date because I knew that in my case it wouldn't be accurate since I ovulate about a week later than the 14 day 'average'.
