Quick question...in general I get most of my DS's clothes handed down to me, but now and then a gap in his wardrobe comes up. Do you ladies know of any places where I could buy natural, warm, preferably organic clothes for my son without spending through DS's college fund? I'm not against spending a reasonable amount of money for a high-quality item, but I don't want to throw my money away, either.

I don't know if they have an organic line, but American Apparel is good for plain media-free cotton clothing. We buy from Amazon, and AA clothing is cheaper there.
Alot of mamas are big fans of Hanna Andersson.
Nova Natural has woolen undergarments if it's that type of thing you're looking for.
I don't know about boy clothing, but I know that I can find tons of handmade girls clothing on Etsy.
HTH!

Organic clothing that won't break the bank
This is a company that is from my home town. I have an outfit my son is wearing now. He is the second wee one to wear it and it still looks and feels brand new.The company is http://happygreenbee.com/. The lady who founded this company also helped found Burt's Bees. You got to love that.
They are currently having an amazing clearance sale.

Enjoy,
Elizabeth in NC

i find tons of organics and natural fiber clothing at our local Savers(Value Village some places) It's all second-hand and I've found lots and lots of organic cotton, Hanna Andersson, beautiful knit wool sweaters, even slings and babylegs there. Last week I found myself a sigg bottle for $1.99.
Google them and see if you have one in your area because they are AMAZING!
