Can I use diaper rash cream with prefolds?
I put some on this morning and then realized it may not be such a good idea Is there a way to remove the cream?

Don't with creams like Desitin. You might be okay with more natural products, even CA baby - but I wouldn't chance it w/o using a liner.

You could try dish soap or boiling to get it out.

I use Weleda Diaper Cream all the time with my prefolds and have not had any issues. I only use it sparingly and only when he has an actual rash though.

Desitin I wouldn't use, but I use all sorts of others just sparingly and only when needed without a issue. IMO prefolds are much more forgiving that a diaper with fleece or micro suede.

I had a friend tell me, when I was new to cd, to use only Burts Bees but that was not a good idea. It took for.ev.er. to get that stuff off my dipes. I now use Angel Baby Bottom Balm to heal any issues and have a lovely wipe solution that treats my lo's bottom rather well, smells good too;-)

Grandma El's - I was told works well with cloth diapers. I use coconut oil in place of rash creams. Works much better imo. You can boil them to get the gunk out.
