Photography Equipment

I'd like to set up a corner of a room for taking pictures of products, making short how-to videos, demonstrations, etc. We have a pretty good SLR camera and HD camcorder. I'm trying to figure out what we'd need in terms of lighting equipment, backdrop, etc. I'm planning to stalk Craig's List so I was hoping a few of you fabulous camera-saavy mama's could help me put together a list of what to look for and about how much to pay for used equipment?

I don't know how much you would ask to pay for the following equipment, it really depends on the condition and brand! I would suggest you look it up on amazon and then ebay to see how much it is going for before you commit to buying it. But my list is as follows:

Alienbees 800 strobe
Alienbees giant folding softbox
Alienbees lightstand
Cowboy Studio's portable backdrop stand
Sekonic light meter (a must if you do studio portraiture)
A reflector (I use a piece of giant white poster board, it works great)
And your props, just get them at discount stores and yard sales.

Thank you! I know how great your pics always look! We ended up getting some of those softbox lighting things. They are amazing. We have this small, otherwise unusable (except for storage) room upstairs in our house and its making a great studio.
