Pumping - Major Output Change HELP

On Monday when I pumped I got 3 ounces total. Yesterday and today I hook everything up and I am lucky to get an ounce total. Right now it seems that I may get nothing. I only pump once a day now in the middle of the day (plus nurse morning, after work, bedtime, and sometimes 1-2 overnight), but I have been doing this for a month. Any ideas why things have change so dramatically seemingly overnight? Any suggestions? The pump sounds the same and I can feel the suction and see my nipples drawn into the shield, it just seems not a lot is coming out.

sounds like a pump issue. have you checked the membranes?

Agree it sounds like the pump. Can you hear your ds swallowing when you nurse? Are you able to hand-express at all?

Alternatively, where are you in your menstrual cycle? Could be the pre-AF supply dip.

I will replace the membranes today. DS seems fine at the breast and I was full this morning on the one side he didn't eat off of last night. I will have to see if I hear him swallow.

I do not know where I am in my cycle, it hasn't started again (13.5 months!) so maybe that is it too.

i could have written this post last week.. i figured it was an AF thing. today i changed out the membranes in my medela PIS- holy moly what a difference it made! the weird thing was, it sounded fine last week, i could see suction and everything. replacing those membranes made a crazy difference, though. try that first!

Aside from the membranes, check your tubing.

FYI, Monday pump sessions are usually more productive as a result of being with DC all weekend.
