If you "knew" before a test... - Page 2

I've only really known these past two times. I got that crampy feeling that's just different, not sure how to describe it. I guess after you've been pregnant 5 times and you TTC this long you finally get a clue!
I also had vivid dreams this time which I finally realized was related to pregnancy. Last time I had heartburn, which I never have except when pregnant, so there was an obvious early clue for me.

Do you know, I just "knew"....
We weren't trying to conceive and the day I decided to go buy a test was the day AF should have been there...it could have come that evening but I just..."knew"...
I went grocery shopping and picked one up thinking "Hey I should have one of these in the house anyway I'll do it tomorrow or something if AF doesn't show up"...
Well I just had such an urge (those things never stay untested for long) and so I took the test as soon as I walked in the door andit was...POSITIVE.

Apart from that, I too always wonder if there was anything I "missed" when it came to symptoms as I was not trying the first time....

I didn't think I would get pregnant on the cycle I did because circumstances at conception didn't seem optimal, but by about 9DPO I started feeling like maybe I was. I'd been having ovarian twinges for a few days, which I got with my first two pregnancies but also sometimes got with BFN cycles, but I think my biggest symptom was increased urinated from about 9DPO onward. By the time I took a test at 12 DPO, I was sure I was pregnant, and this is coming from someone who has been through 25 bfn cycles, so I'm not the most optimistic person about TTC.

Can I tell you, I'm glad you said this bc, both times (even with DS- who was a huge, complete, true BC failure oops baby) I just knew
.
My cycles have always been irregular, so I wasn't late per say with either DC and I didn't start having symptoms until 5-6 weeks, a few weeks after my BFPs.
I just knew.

Which, honestly, it kind of a bummer, bc every time I test these days I just know I'm not pg. But, I try to tell myself maybe this time I won't just know.

Preg #1-- totally just a feeling. I just woke up and KNEW I wasn't going to get my period. It was the day my period was due. Husband thought I was nuts. We'd been using withdrawal for 6 years with no accidents. No reason to think I was pregnant. But I was.

Preg #2-- had "the feeling." Had been thinking it was possible anyway. Tested. BFN. Two days later, after getting up to pee about five times in the night, tested again, BFP. I knew that the peeing meant something was up.

Every time I thought I wasn't, I was pregnant. When I thought I was, I wasn't pregnant.

Dh and I were in the kitchen one night making milkshakes and I pulled open the silverware drawer. I stopped suddenly and jerked forward from a sharp pain down low. I think I said "wow" then pulled out two spoons and a double spasm hit that made me flinch again. I though "that was the baby", and a split second afterward and almost LOL'd at myself. We had just gone off BCP to let the hormones leave my system before TTC a few months later. 2 weeks later I had a yeast infection that didn't go away with the OTC goop. I sat crying the day after the final insert was used because I was still uncomfortable. I took a test right then and it was a DARK bfp- the control line was a lot fainter than the test line!
I didn't know anything about charting then, but in retrospect (and subconsciously at the time) I knew exactly what I felt that night in the kitchen!

With each pregnancy the big clue was that I had to get up in the middle of the night to pee. Without fail that is it for me. That usually happens about 7dpo

I felt nauseous and just "knew." It was a different kind of nausea that I'd never experienced before, not worse or anything, just different. We're ttc now and I have been sick and stressed and all sorts of things that have made me feel nauseous but it hasn't been "that kind" of nausea where I just "knew."

The first one I knew by some umm..interest cm that I had. I won't go into detail here.

The second one I felt like I had the flu. It seemed to hit very suddenly and stuck around for about 8 months. (sad about the sickness not the pregnancy )

With my first one, I just knew even as she was being concieved.

With my second, something flashed through my head immediately after intercourse on the night that I think I conceived, to the effect of "you just made a baby" but I brushed it off because we were practicing NFP and it was one of our safe days according to the calculations and I didn't even think of it again. Then a few weeks later I had a hysterical crying breakdown because my DP didn't want to go to the movies and the next day all I wanted to eat was pasta for breakfast and lunch, and was seriously considering pasta for dinner when something in my brain went "HOLY CRAP, I'M PREGNANT" and I ran out the door and bought three tests. The very next day the nausea kicked in!

So for me, I'd say raging hormones and weird food cravings.
