New IUD and bleeding

For those of you with an IUD, how long did you bleed after it was inserted?
I've had mine for 12 days and I bled a bit at the beginning, then it subsided, now I'm bleeding again, and heavier than before. The nurse at the clinic said this is normal, but that if it lasts much longer I should get it checked.

Just wondering how normal this is, if it is, indeed, normal.
(I have a copper, non hormonal IUD, it's called a NOVA T 380.)

Also, (Sorry if this is TMI.) when I orgasm I can feel it. --I haven't had intercorse with my husband since it's been inserted, to avoid infection. (I figured it would be best to abstain for now since I'm still bleeding.) But I have had orgasms since then.

What is your experience with the IUD?

When I had the mirena put in, I bled pretty heavy/medium for about 3 weeks, and then still had some light bleeding for another 2. It wasn't pleasant! I think you're still in the range of normal. Even though it's annoying.
As for feeling it, I felt it too, in the beginning. Either that or just being aware that something was *in* there squicked me out and I thought I felt it. That feeling went away after a little while.

I got my Mirena about 3 weeks ago too, and haven't bled any since having it inserted. The first day I had a dime sized amount of blood on my pad, then the next day nothing.

NOTE: I had a Depo shot at the beginning of March to prevent pregnancy before my IUD was inserted. I have had some tiny spotting, not enough for a pad, off and on with cramping.

My case is singular since I am on depo until June. I probably would have bled more had I NOT beed on depo.

Also, my doctor only told me to wait a week before having sex without a condom to prevent infection. I think you guys are safe now to DTD without any protection

I had a copper IUD inserted 10 days ago and am still bleeding. It was inserted 3 weeks after a miscarriage. The bleeding from the miscarriage had turned to spotting only and then after the IUD insertion, it picked back up and has been fluctuating bw heavy/medium/light since then.
