maca and vitex help

Thread Starter
Hi Ladies

I had a miscarriage at 8.5 weeks last month and am eager to start trying again. I have read conflicting things about the benefits of maca and vitex, and whether they should be taken together.

I have normal cycles (except now...still spotting from miscarriage), and didn't have trouble conceiving my 14month old or this recently lost baby.

Will taking one or the other (or both) help my cycle return to normal quicker, and help conceive again?

PS. I forgot to mention that I'm still nursing (4-6 times a day, including the night. Sigh).

Welcome to our forum!! I am sorry I do not know the answer to your question. But this will bump your thread back up to top.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss.
In case you didn't see it and want to come join us, there's a thread for TTC nursing mamas. A few of us have done Vitex and/or Maca.

I personally, had been taking Vitex since my 1st ppaf came back in December on the advice of a MW friend. I don't have a BFP to show for it. At first, I really liked it, I O'd early in my cycle in Feb and my LP, while still too short, was okay for returning fertility. However... my cycles have also started getting REALLY wonky, way more than they were when they first returned and I had my progesterone levels drawn and they were way too low. I have no idea if that's because of the Vitex or not, but I stopped taking the Vitex last week because, even if it isn't hurting, it isn't helping.

That said, I've heard loads of success stories with it, so I dunno.
