Progesterone and Ovulation Question

So I am on CD 16 and still no positive OPKs. Normally I would start taking progesterone for my LPD on day 17. Does anyone know if taking progesterone stops ovulation? Thanks for your help!
Oh and here is a link to my chart if it helps. this is my first cycle charting.

Yes, do NOT take the progesterone until you are sure you have ovulated - it will prevent you from ovulating otherwise. Usually 3 temps above coverline indicates ovulation so I would take the prog at 3dpo if you are sure. Your chart doesn't show ovulation yet with temps. It looks like you may be gearing up with the EWCM though - maybe in the next few days you will get a pos OPK?

so, I sort of posted the same question last week bc I was told by a CNM and an OB that low dose progesterone would not stop O-- I have no idea if that is true or not- tho, from posters here and my own research, I believe it to be probably mis-information.

Regardless, I was told that was only true if you had reason to believe your pre-O progest was too low, which does not sound like your situation.

Looking at your chart, I don't think you've O'd yet either, and agree with pp that you are gearing up to O.

yes- progesterone will stop you from o'ing if you havent. you should wait until you are sure you have o'd before starting it.

I will wait, I just get nervous cause AF starts on CD 20 without the progesterone Thanks for all the info!
