Fingernail caught in tonsil!!

Ahh! I've got the worst habit- I bite my nails. I swallowed a bit on accident and now it's stuck in my tonsil.

I have horirbly pitted tonsils and get tonsil stones frequently- and I have to dig them out, sorry, tmi... but I cannot for the life of me get this little bit of nail out!!

Anyone know if I can gargle with something? What would you recommend?

I get tonsiliths a lot too. I have no advice - sorry! Perhaps getting some of those super long handled q-tips like they have at hospitals to try to dislodge it? Or a gargle marathon? I actually wanted to get my tonsils removed to stop tonsiliths. (But I didn't.)

I wish I could get my tonsils removed! Big yellow hunks of gunk in my tonsils are not fun! I'm only 19, so that's most certainly not going to be in my future.

It probably got disloged in my sleep because I woke up and it was gone. But.. yuck!
