It's expected around here. People don't understand why I don't have DS in preschool. It would be free for us and he'd be bussed back and forth and fed two meals while he's there. Help Me Grow (EI program) comes to the house for DD and they sometimes act concerned, like I don't know I CAN send DS to school. I know it'll only get worse when he's "supposed" to be in K this fall. *sigh* But he's starting to understand the differences in schooling options and just the other day he proudly told someone "I'm doing homeschooling".

Oh and it's worse if you have a special needs kid. People started bugging me about what I was going to do about preschool for DD when she was barely over a year old! We didn't even know (still don't) if she'll even make it to 3, and people are worried about her schooling.

I can't even believe people would expect us to send her *anywhere* given her fragile medical condition. But ya know, school is important for socialization and stuff. :-/
