hearing protection for infant

I have several concerts I want to attend in the next couple of months while dd is likely to just sleep in a sling and be happy. They're all folk shows, but of the full band variety. I imagine that dd should have some ear protection, even though they aren't crazy rock shows. Suggestions?

I bought a pair of the Baby Banz earphones - I haqven't used them yet but they seem like they'll be great. It says they are for 6+ mos., but the reviews on Amazon had some who used it earlier. I bought them to have on hand and for an event when ds is 5 1/2 months. I am able to put them on and am happy with what sound comes through. The other brand I was looking at was Peltor, which also makes a kid "ear muff".

I've seen people recommend these. I would suggest getting something. We spent a lot of times at bluegrass festivals last summer when K was an infant, and I wish I would have had something for his ears. Even though it wasn't rock, they still had speakers and it could get loud.

We have these for our kids for when they are "helping" with our riding mower. I've only used them from about 18mo, so can't say how they work for a smaller bebe, but they are super comfortable and have great hearing protection.

Make sure you get the Peltor Kids Earmuffs. The Peltor Jr. are for ages 7+. My DS wore the kids muffs for the first time at ~2mo. They looked funny on him, but were wearable. I also stuck those foam ear plugs in his ears under the muffs for double protection.

I had no idea! I saved the rec for the other ones in my amazon cart. I didn't realize there were smaller ones. That is so good to know!

I have been wondering the same thing! We are going to an outdoor concert in Jul when ds will be about 4 months old.
Also- tomorrow we are going on ds's first long (or any type of) train ride. I wonder if we need ear protection for that? probably not!

amazon is confusing me. they only have the "junior" sized ones listed. But the picture shows the "kid" size. hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I don't remember exactly because it was a while ago, but I think this is where I ordered ours and it says which are for up to age 7 and which are for 7 & up. Protect those little ears!

Just thought I'd come back and update on this. We ordered the Peltor kids' ear muffs, and they are great.

The only problem with them is that my DD is usually in a SSC at shows, and she's still short enough that sometimes it's hard for her big head plus the headphones to fit comfortably. I usually just roll the waist once so her head is higher out of the carrier.

And man, oh man, you'll get a lot of comments on how adorable your kid is when they wear these ear muffs to a show!
