Night-time solution?

We've had to be constantly re-evaluating and trying new things for night-time. I finally wound up with 2 pfs under a disana tie nappy w a fleece liner. Then a few weeks later that was no longer enough, so I added a Hemparoo doubler to the mix. Now that's not enough. He's waking up soaked, and yesterday his wool shorts were also soaked. I'm not willing to go to 3 pfs because 2 is already hugely bulky, so what are my options?

We use only natural fibers, no synthetics (except for the fleece liners, obviously), fitteds or non-fitteds (PFs/flats/contours). I don't do AIOs.

So what natural fiber dipe combo can hold him for almost 12 hours? And to top it all off he's unusually skinny, so he still fits in smalls for most dipes, although we moved up to Mediums a couple months ago for the absorbency, they're all on the smallest setting.

Really? Nobody has a brilliant overnight solution for me?

I"m not familiar with the dipes/covers you're using but have you tried a semi-felted wool cover? Ds's morning diapers are always soaked, but it never gets through my felted soaker.

DD is a huge wetter all the time. I found that babyology wool, well lanolized, over a prefold and an infant prefold as a doubler was enough to keep her clothes dry... paired with a fleece liner, her butt was dry. You may need to go up a size on your prefold for nights too, when DD sized up keeping her drier through the night was much more doable.

My DD while only 4 months old is a pretty heavy nighttime wetter (probably something to do with constant night nursing and my being too tired to do nighttime diaper changes, but I digress...). We use pockets with a knickernappies super do and the microfiber and it is the most successful option we've tried and we've tried a lot. We even resorted to disposables for a few nights only to find she leaked out the top, sides, and literally just through the diaper...never again.

I have been trying to add more natural fibers and just bought 2 earth mom and baby bamboo fitteds. Bumboo fitteds

First we tried them at nap time no doubler. Barely felt damp when changed a few hours later. Our first nighttime trial stuffed with the doubler it came with and it gave us great night protection. Not only no leaks but in the AM the entire diaper wasn't soaked feeling. I covered with a thirsties (can't wait to try wool). Some mornings the inserts in our pockets could be wrung out they are so wet. I am still new to the bumboo but my first observations were positive. They fold in a really unique way so you can add extra coverage where you need it (front, middle, back).
