How big is your stash?

Thread Starter
So...we have about 21 BG 3.0s, one Fuzzi Bunz small, three Flip covers with 7 stay dry inserts. 12 yellow GMD prefolds, 12 smaller indian cotton prefolds.

And I am STILL thinking about adding more dipes! (Namely, more Flip inserts, but I drool over other brands as well.)

How big is your stash?

In the current size, or in all sizes?

I have an 18 gallon tub full of dipes he hasn't grown into, a stack of 21 PFs that are still too big that won't fit in the tub. I have a shoebox sized tub full of dipes he's outgrown already. A grocery bag overflowing of the dipes I didn't like that I'm selling (37, I believe), and I still have over 3 dozen in current use/rotation.

So by all means buy more!

I have four gro-baby shells with 8 inserts, 8 bamboo mother-ease os, 4 covers, two fuzzibunz aio, 12 cotton dipes that I don't know what brand, and 20 prefolds. I really wish I could afford buying more!

I think I have ~36 diapers in use per size. I'm pretty lazy about laundry.

I have 14 bumgenius, probably 12 or so fuzzibunz, and 2 rumparooz. So about 28 diapers. I wash every other day, but could go 3 days. I just don't like them sitting around dirty that long.
I have 36 bg 3.0s and 6-8 2.0s for ds1 (at night only). used to have 40 2.0s, but gave most to a friend a couple weeks ago

I'm new to this so I've started out slow. I have 10 Bumgenius OS 3.0s and 8 Size One Thirsties Duo Diapers. (I had some prefolds and fuzzibunz but returned/sold them...thought I'd love those based on the rave reviews from others, but ended up hating them)

18 diapers has been enough because I've been doing laundry every day...just made it part of my daily routine. But I figure, we'll need to invest in more, as DD's chubby thighs are not going to fit in the duos much longer.

we have about three doz pocket dipes (fb, hh os, kawaii, and a couple bg), a dozen brown edge gmds, eight or so covers, a dozen fitteds, two pairs of longies and three pairs of shorties. then there's a bunch of stuff i don't use for her anymore that i need to either sell or pack away for future babies.

I have way too many!

Newborn - 30
Small - 40
Medium - 50
Large - 20

DD is in the newborn and smalls and DS is in the medium and larges. My stash is almost completely homemade (RRPs) It's actually way too many, especially for DS right now, the diaper pail gets full long before I get through the vast majority of our stash. I plan on having four children, so I figure these should last through all the kids, even if half get worn out completely.

I have about 8-10 covers in each size that I actually use and then a few extras that I tried out but didn't care for.

We have 3 dozen prefolds, 1 dozen flats and that is mainly what we use. I also have 7 pocket diapers left ( my stash used to be only pocket diapers) that I have started using at nap and night again. It is a lot of diapers for 1 child, but I did have two in cloth at one time.

I used to (for over a yr) only be able to wash 1x a week at a laundromat, so we have enough diapers to go atleast a week.
As soon as I found the diapers I liked, I bought a lot. I have about 36 OS snap AIOs. I hate to run out and I hate to do laundry. With this many, I only do laundry about once every 4-5 days with no stink or grossness issues, and we never run out.

I also have about 5 small gdiaper covers and 10 mediums with a pile of snap-in liners from our gdiaper phase, 36 infant prefolds, about 12 covers in assorted sizes and brands and 30 or so inserts that I made (bamboo/zorb for the gdiapers and roobos (sp?) covers). None of these ever get used anymore because I love the OS AIOs so much. I really should sell it all but I can't let go!

I have about 24 bg 3.0's.....a few bg bamboo (love the feel, hate how wet they are against his tushie!) and 3 of....I forget what they are..... I'd love to add more but am afraid of being lazy in laundry....wouldn't they be harmed if let go for more than two days without washing??? I'm just thinking it can't be good....can you let bg soak while waiting to be laundered??? I'm so new at this and am afraid of ruining expensive diapers!!!

I love this question

I am now a cotton/wool purist but...

I have a total hodgepodge 'cause I wanted to try out lots before I committed to a type so...

2 doz GMD yellow prefold--love love love but shrank more than I like--I'll get more
5 GMD fitted white-great but shrank too much for her thighs
5 varied wool soakers--mostly homemade--love love love
20 other prefold--eh, they're alright--will be paper towels, wipes, menstral pads, and toilet fabric in the future.
1 fuzzybunz--eh
1 bamboozle--could it be any softer? mmmmmmmm soft
5 or so other types of fitted and pockets--eh--my girl has chunky thighs so tough fit some are great some are not.

For Daycare:
9 Motherease and Inserts
3 Motherease covers

For Hubby:
3 Dream-eze
2 Osocozy

Just bought 20 Coolababy pockets--don't like so much they will be up for sale as well as all of my fitteds and some prefolds.

I have in his current size:
18 thin cotton fitteds (these are my go to cd's, with fleece pants as covers)
14 other fitteds (Clovers, Drool Bucket Baby, Tiny Tush, Sugar Peas, 5 bamboozles borrowed from sil)
12 Kawaii Baby pockets (these are our going out diapers)
7 OS and lg AMP Duos
5 Blueberries/Swaddlebees OS diapers
3 med AMP AIO's
2 BGOS

I have but don't use/need to sell:
Lots of FB's (these were loaned to my sil, and were just given back)
A couple pockets with cotton inners
2 SoftBums shells/4 inserts
Random covers and cd's that just don't work

So I have 32 every day fitted dipes (that I use all the time), 29 pockets/aio's that I like, and 10-15 that don't work.

I could easily get by with just the fitteds and about 10 pockets for going out. Oh well- I didn't find the ones I love until after I'd bought lots of other stuff!

We are in the transition stage where he can wear smalls and mediums in some brands, so, it's bigger now.

9 Small FuzziBunz
2 Small Green Acre Designs (GADs)
4 Med GADs
7 Med Knickernappies pockets
2 Rocky Mountain one size
7 Bamboozles Size 1
2 Bummis Super whisper wraps
3 embellished prefolds (he outgrew the smaller ones, so we are using them as doublers/stuffers/burp cloths...need to buy more!)
3 Small Thirsties covers

I liked fitteds + covers best when he was 6-9 lbs, but now that he is a chunker and super heavy soaker, I'm loving the pockets. I want more of the embroidered GADs....must not buy.....

We use hemp, cotton and bamboo diapers only.
We also use wool for covers 99.99% of the time.
I have about 36 to 40 mixed diapers (prefolds, fitteds and flats) and 4 AIO's. This is what is being used right now.

I have three large bins of diapers and wool put away by size, NB, Small and Medium, for the next little one.

In our mix of diapers, the "brands" I use and love daily are MEOS, SBish hemp and bamboo, ABB fitteds, GMD prefolds and flats, Little Beetles, Cloth Canoes, and Bottombumpers.

I honestly don't know how many of each brand I have, cause I never have all my diapers clean at the same time.

20 Softbums inserts + 9 Softbums covers (OS)

3 Fuzzibunz OS pockets +3 SuperDo inserts (for nighttime)

2 OS pockets (a Rocky Mountain and a BG) that I use if I run out of Softbums

2 large BG AIOs for the diaper bag

So 24 daytime diaper changes total. Honestly our diaper pail only really fits 2 days' worth of diapers though soI have to do laundry when it fills up rather than when I'm out of diapers. Hence there is absolutely no point in buying more.

24 small prefolds
18 flats (or around that many)
7 fitted
2 AIOs
10 or so covers

I have comming
8 AIOs

I'd like to add
5 fitted (and trade out 4 of what I have)
4-8 cotton doublers

I have more covers than I need but I have a thing for covers which is funny since I only use them when going out or overnight. Diaper wise though I wash every 3 days and average around 14 diapers a day currently. So not a lot is left over at the end. I also go through more prefolds and flats using then as burp rags etc as well as diapers.

2 snappi (only use 1)
4 pins, never used

i do use sposies at night and wash every 3 days
