I'm really thinking of making one of these family closets so that laundry is more simplified, now that we are expecting our 4th. I would love to see pictures or here descriptions of how you set yours up.

We have two closets in our bedroom that we use for clothes. One has all the girls clothing in it. We have small bookcases that holds shirts, skirts, shorts, undies and the like. All their dresses get hung up. There is a small box on top of the bookcase that I throw odds and ends like hair ties and the like in. There is also a laundry basket that sits in between the two. I have to take a picture for you to get what it looks like. Honestly I could easily put another 1-2 children's clothes in that closet since neither girl really uses all the bookcase.
DH and I hang everything but our workout clothes and undies in the other closet. We have a chest of drawer in our bedroom that houses all our undies, diapers for our youngest, socks for all of us, DH's work undershirts and everyones workout gear. Oh and it has an empty drawer in case I need to stash something so the kids don't see it (I keep random birthday/christmas gifts in here a lot of the time). In our closet there is a small bookcase where we put all our dress shoes and DH's work shoes in as well as 3 laundry baskets (its a really tight fit) that we use for whites, towels/uniforms and regular clothes.
Ill try to take pictures later and post them so you get an idea.

We use a spare bedroom for a family closet - we have 8 clothing racks in there, and they mainly hold kids' clothes currently b/c I took most of DH and mine up to the closet in the master bedroom. Mines kinda a mess right now since I have been going through stuff to pack away for next fall and winter - but I can take pics in a bit.

i've really liked having a family closet. we just moved to a home with a very large master closet. since everyone showers in the master it works out perfectly.
we use a combination of mostly hanging stuff, plastic 3 drawer bin for dd1 socks/undies/pj etc. plus a dresser in the bedroom for my socks/undies, dd2 stuff. prefolds sit on my nightstand

We have all our clothes in the laundry room off which is off our master bedroom. Our house is old so we literally have no closets so it made sense when we turned this odd bedroom (you have to go through it to get to the master) into a laundry room to also make it a giant closet.
We only have one child right now & everything is rather make shift. We have one hanging bar for dh's clothes, my stuff is all in a dresser, the rest of dh's stuff is on top of the dryer & ds' stuff is all in his dresser/change table. We also have a laundry basket with 3 different bags so we can sort as we put things in the laundry.
One day we plan to build all custom built-ins & that should double our storage space as at the moment we are really making pretty poor use of the space.
