Today at my 2 year old DS's check-up we did a urine dip (he had cloudy urine on & off for 2 days) and found he had ketones in his urine (nothing else)
This was done after he had eaten a fairly good breakfast & snack on the way there (b/c she wondered if he hadn't been eating well & that was causing it)
My DH and one of his DS's first cousins has type 1 diabetes so I asked about that. She said it was unlikely due to the lack of glucose present, but said we could do a fasting blood draw to be sure.
Does anyone have any experience with this that you could share?
He certainly HaSN'T been showing the usual sign of diabetes, but he did drop down in the % for height/weight again, so it has me wondering....
