I have a potty that has a layer of black deposits in the very bottom where the brush doesn't reach very well. I think they are mineral deposits, but it's driving me crazy. What's the easiest way to get rid of this, and prevent it from happening again? I would prefer a way to do this that is non-toxic. I'm chemically sensitive, too, so I can't handle strong smells. If toxic, chemically stuff is my only option, I could let DH do it though.
Thanks!

I simply dug in there (rubber gloves) - most of it came of just using my hands, the rest with a blade or short screwdriver. (Fear not - it's not that yucky, basically just calcium.)
