We are traveling and my 7 m. old is experiencing his first 80+ temps. Ever since we have been in the heat he has been sweating every time he sleeps. When he wakes his head and the sheet beneath his head is very wet. I haven't had a blanket on him while he sleeps, just the clothes he is wearing. Is this due to the heat or something else? He doesn't have a fever.
I wouldn't be worried except that it is causing some dehydration. His pees have become dark and much less frequent and he is also constipated. I am nursing him as much as possible. Is there anything else I can do? When should I be worried about dehydration?

A couple months ago she too began having really dark urine and constipation, I ended up offering a little water in between sessions. She loves it and it really helped out the dehydration issues. I was really afraid to offer water because I had heard not to give a BF'ing baby any because it could fill them up too much, but I figured it had to be better than constipation! Also, I bought a cup with a straw so she could drink it by herself, most ends up on her then in her, but she has a great time and gets enough to help her out a little, but not fill her up. I have noticed no decrease in feedings at all.
