feeling bleurgh about lack of down time

twins are 19 months now and i just wanted to offload am feeling bleurgh today about my lack of space. they still nurse very regularly day and night, neither has a particular set rhythm for when they sleep - four older 'monsters' roaming the house have a large part to do with that, as well as activities outside the house - and i'd like a short holiday where someone will cook, clean and entertain them all whilst i sleeeeep and generally self-indulge.

whine over, thank you mamas

I know! I'd love to have 30 minutes every day to knit, read or zone out on tv. I've had a movie rented for a week. . . maybe I can watch it in 5 minute intervals.

I totally understand!! You have my sympathy. And the lack of physical space is just as difficult as not having down time--just being climbed on all the time, etc.

I have an extremely rare moment right now when all 3 of mine are napping (older very rarely naps, and never in his BED, so this is highly unusual). I'm finally sorting through mail and stuff that I've been needing to do for days. Lately I've been falling asleep not long after the kids, and at least somebody has been up at 5 AM, so yeah...

The nap thing with older siblings is super tough, I think. They fall asleep in teh car at random times. It's so easy when you only have one baby to revolve around whatever schedule he needs. Not so much when you have more than 1 kid!

s: My 8 month old twins are nursing and biting me and my 3 year old has to jump in my lap whenever I start to nurse so I don't even get that little bit of releif from gettin the babies latched on and spacing out since she is up in my face and upsetting them AHHH! At least all three of mine have taken an afternoon nap for 4 days in a row so I could do dishes. It is just plain hard to have more than one child and even harder if you have multiples...I joined a gym with a day care and it nice to have the option to be "alone" for a bit but I don't use it much cause it is hardly worth loading them all up in the car and disrupting their routine.
