Does the Bobbie Fairy not visit if you're already nursing?

This is my third pregnancy. I have a nursling who is 13 months. With my first and second pregnancy I noticed my breasts enlarge by now-I am 8 weeks today. I don't have any of the soreness ( thank goodness) or any of the tingling, in fact because my daughter only nurses off one side - yes I'm lopsided the other neglected breast is still like a small B-cup while the nursing breast is usually a small C cup. Believe me I'll be thrilled if they stay the size they are at. Has any other nursing pregnant momma's experienced no growth changes in their breasts. Can I expect to stay the same for the duration of my pregnancy even when my LO is born???

This is my third pregnancy as well. I can't remember what it was like early on in pregnancy #2 where I had a LO nursing several times a day still. I do remember at the end my breasts were a bit larger. And of course when my milk came in they were huge.

I am 15 weeks now, pregnancy #3. DS2 is nursing once a day (and I don't know why, there is hardly anything there, and it tastes salty now--ick). Anyway, I was noticing that my breasts have not grown in the least. Very little tenderness, either. It seems with each pregnancy they keep getting smaller and smaller--oh, and lower. And squashier.

Anyway, that is my experience. It sounds a lot like yours so far.

For me there was no change from when I got my BFP till about week 8. Then they got smaller and kind of deflated for weeks 8-16 or so. Now I'm 19 weeks and I've noticed that they've finally puffed up over the past few weeks. Not to the glory of my first pregnancy but I think they're getting there. Unfortunately though DS is refusing to nurse more often and hasn't nursed at all for two days now. This has happened before and he always comes back so I hope he does again but I wonder if it's connected to whatever is filling them up these days. I guess he doesn't like it.

I am on pregnant with baby #2, and I agree that the change is way less drastic then the first time. At first there was no change, I think they are maybe 1/2 cup size bigger now that I am 27 weeks. I also have no pain, so I am not complaining because last time it was major ouchie!

I just asked my doctor about this yesterday. My sister-in-law is two weeks ahead of me and has gone up a couple cup sizes and I don't reall notice any difference in my size at all. She's gained more padding all over, though, and I think I actually lost some weight in the beginning of the pregnancy. I'm at 32 weeks now. The doc said not to worry - I've got everything I need to nurse and once the baby's actually here I'll see them get bigger.

I went from a very small B to a DD almost overnight when I got pregnant with my first. With my second (I was not nursing my first) I had a similar reaction. I have been nursing #2 since he was born (and #3 and #4 ) and with my subsequent pregnancies my breasts have just sort of deflated (to about a C, bigger than I started out but a few cup sizes smaller than when I am not pregnant but am nursing) each time. I am happy to be able to wear pretty bras (instead of old lady bras) when I'm pregnant.

37 wks with baby #3. I don't remember a lot of breast changes early on, but I have grown in the past few months. I need new bras now- I plan to order this one: http://www.bellamaterna.com/shop/T-S...4808-1221.aspx . It looks like the type of bra that I wear while I'm not nursing constantly. Definitely pricey, but I tend to only buy two bras and wear them out completely, so I'll just deal with the price.

Hmm, maybe. Except for pg #1 and #2, I have been nursing every time I got pg (this is pg #7/8) and my boobs usually don't get bigger until after baby is born. This pg my boobs are growing suddenly tho. For the 1st time in my life I have cleavage. Bleh.
I don't know exactly what causes breast enlargement, so no help. sorry

I thought mine weren't going to get bigger but at 28 weeks they just. Grew overnight it seems. Mine may be a special case because I grew 5 cup sizes (eek!) with my first. Oh mine still nurses a few tiles a day and at night and he's 19 months old FYI.

its has only in the past few days been sensitive to nurse and im almost 15 weeks. my nursling was a serious nurser when i got pregnant and i have been slowly cutting it down, because honestly i need some space and time for me before it happens all over again for another 2 + years...and because around now i have no milk left and nursing without milk feels BAD.
my boobs seem to have shrunk more than grown at this point, which has been my experience with my other 2 that i was nursing through as well.. i guess the milk drying up reduces there size pretty drastically.. at birth/just after they get big though

I'm very well endowed and still nursing; however, I've noticed that my bra isn't as comfortable as it was and feels like it's cutting me off. So, I just walk around annoyed at it, but it's not like my cup runneth over (yet).

This is my fourth pregnancy, I'm 10 weeks and have no boob changes as of yet. I wasn't nursing last pregnancy but remember the changes weren't as dramatic as my first but I know they were much larger by the end of pregnancy.

I figure they will fill out towards the end. It would be great it they would EVEN out.

this is my 3rd pregnancy .. with my first they grew like crazy, (small C to E) . .with my 2nd, they grew some.. this time - they got SMALLER! and have just now started to get back to my most recent 'normal' .. they started to grow again around 18-20ish weeks .. i nursed through my last pregnancy and have a 2 yr old nursling now..

For me, no. Nothing really changed until several weeks after I weaned. Probably around 18 weeks or so this time? With DD it was like 24 weeks? Then I just shot up a cup size like overnight, and had the soreness, etc. But nothing as bad as with the first!

Still nursing about 2 times per day, now 21 weeks along. Mine were already smaller by the time I got pregnant compared to when I first had DS#1. I was also lopsided as one stopped producing as much as the other. My milk production went to zero at about 14 weeks pregnant. Since then, they have slowly grown. Now they are comparable to where they were when I was pregnant at this stage with DS#1. The Adventures in Tandem Nursing book describes the process as spring, summer, fall winter -- baby is born, you have spring, lots of milk, etc. Then, as time goes by, they take in less, and your glands are doing less work, some of them go dormant. Then, all of them go dormant in "winter" to get ready for new baby. I think it's at that point that they start to grow, if you are pregnant, and if they are going to grow...
