4 yo Birthday Gifts

Thread Starter
My DD1 is turning 4 at the end of the month and the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles have been asking for gift suggestions..and I just don't know what to tell them. We have a very small house and aren't too big on 'things' but I know DD would love some new interesting things.

We've suggested going together on a Museum membership or the like but no one wants to watch her open that so they won't do it

She's an active, very imaginative kid. Loves music, science, reading, cooking.

What kind of awesome things do your 4yos love?

TIA!

Well, my son's turning 4 next month and on our list so far is:

fish (that's my idea, dh's not too excited about it. yet)
golf clubs
jump rope

Whenever someone asks, I always say clothes and books. He loves books, he's getting into games big time right now and he's also hitting a growth spurt. Or anything he can use outside; balls, shovels, buckets, etc.

DS turned 4 back in January and he got:

Hot Wheels stuff
A talking Dinosaur
Finger Panits and brushes
Puzzles
Transformer

He's in to puzzles, swords, transformers, cars, fixing things, etc.,

Stomp rockets! The kids in our playgroup all love them. They are inexpensive, take up little space, and encourage activity.

Let's see -- balance bike? MagnaTiles? I agree that games are good. DD's current favorite is this one:

DD and her friends also love our collection of matryoshka (Russian nesting dolls). You can get tons of different styles of them on ebay.
