would you? have you? Should I? (yarn question)

I just ordered some very yummy yarn in a DBK co-op. These are expensive, so I didn't order trims, but am wondering if I could just get some cascade and use it as trim?

i totally play with my yarn. i love mixing it up. i have some super expensive yarns and some $1 novelty yarns. and i'm not afraid to use em together.

Depending on the base you got, I totally would. Cestari sells solids, too. Lion Brand wool is a bit thicker, so, it might be a nice compliment to an aran weight yarn, too. And, of course, you can knit up longies or shorties without any trim if you have enough (if that is your project)!

I made up a whole bunch of longies out of 3IG and used cascade trim. I couldn't see spending $17 on trim.
