Does anyone know what this tastes like? My midwife suggested it and I'm worried about the taste. i don't want to spend $20 on a bottle and find out it tastes so bad I can't take it.

I hear as long as you keep it cold (as you should!) it does not taste so bad. If you have a problem with its taste, you can mix it with juice.

You only drink 2 teaspoons at a time so it's not awful, especially if you chase it with juice. To me it tastes like... kinda old apple juice?

I have taken it for 3 pgs now and it is just fine. What I do is use a fruit juice blend that I like in a small cup, add the Floradix to it, then stir it / drink with a straw. That way you don't end up with a mouthful of it at the bottom of the cup, which would be more bitter.

I suppose it depends on how sensitive to taste you are. To me, it tastes like metallic OJ. My kids liked the taste, it was too sweet for me but I could tolerate it. Some health food stores can get a sample for you, see if you can go that route.

I don't mind it actually. Almost like cherry juice. Get yourself a bottle!
Now what I can't stand is the taste of my liquid calcium!

I endure it. It certainly tastes healthy.

Maybe I'll try the tip about adding it to some juice.

I pour my dose in a shot glass, top it off with OJ, and slam it. It's not my favorite part of the day, but it's not horrible, either. I think my Vitex is ten thousand times worse!!!

I just bought the capsule kind...am I cheating myself of some health benefit? (And of something else nasty to drink. )

To me it is like black grape juice, or prune juice, definately palatable.

I second the "Old Apple Juice"...it's what it smells like too....I'm sensitive and yet can tolerate it on it's own...I feared pay close to 30bucks and not being able to take it but I am doing great with it.

It has blackcurrant juice in it and I think that is exactly what it tastes like... with an aftertaste of pennies.

I also mix it with OJ in the little cup they give you, drink that as a shot, and then chase it with some plain OJ. You pretty much can't taste it that way.

it's doable but nasty. i have an aversion to anything that tastes like iron, like those cold-ease cough drops. and this tastes like iron. that being said, i mix it with juice and it is hardly noticeable. plus--if you need iron, it's the best way to get more! and thus far it hasn't affected my digestive system if you know what i mean

I actually really like it! The same company makes a calcium drink that I do not like, just tastes really wierdo. But I imagine it would totally blend in with oj.

I bought it today. For $25.99 a bottle I had better be able to drink this stuff.

Well, what do you think?

Hate to be the one voice of negativity, but I can barely deal with it. There are definitely days when I just can't handle it. Today might actually be one of those. Yuck.

I drink the floravit instead, same product without the yeast. I actually like it, a bit like medicinal tasting juice. Possibly prune juice only not so thick and sweet. I don't mind it at all. It says on the packaging to mix with water or juice, but sometimes I will have it as a shot.
Did you like it?
I take the floravital. I am anemic and it really helps. I find I don't mind the taste when I first open it, but after two weeks it gets kind of gross and metallic like.

My solution is to finish a small bottle in a few weeks then take a week or two off (b/c of high cost) and get another bottle.

Another trick: drink through a straw--it stains your teeth. I usually stick a clean straw right in the bottle, take a swig and eat or drink something immediately after.

Overall not a bad taste--like an herbal supplement mixed with prune juice.

I mixed it with blueberry pomegranate juice and it's ok. The juice kind of had a pruney taste and the last sip was gross, but I can definitely do it once a day. DH tried it straight and said it tasted like old pennies soaked in orange juice.
