I need reassurance...

With my son I had a lot of bleeding..after he was born the first push for the placenta resulted in an explosion of blood, tons of huge clots, anemia, tachycardia, couldn't breathe, etc.
With this pregnancy I'm not so much worried about me. But I'm worried about the baby/placenta. What if the explosion of blood was a clot from the placenta starting to detach before birth (if that makes sense)?
I read a birth story from a fellow MDC mama today where she had an abruption minutes before birth and the baby died. Now I'm freaked out.

I hate to sound like a pregnancy guidebook, but I think this is a topic you should discuss with your midwife. She should be able to either reassure you or come up with a plan of action.

I'd get my records and talk with a couple of health providers to get a couple different answers to help me make my decision.

Ok, I think that's what I'll have to do. Thanks!
