Sleep sack/infant "nightgown" ...

Thread Starter
Ds is starting to grow out of his sleep sack things ... I can only find them for newborns at the store and was hoping to find a good pattern to use to make my own. Preferrably, I would like a sleeveless pattern, but even it if had sleeves, I could hopefully leave them off. Does anyone know of a good pattern?
Thanks!

I think that Kwik Sew has a sleep sack pattern.

Kwik Sew 3090 has a sleep sack pattern with lapped shoulders and long or short sleeves. It goes up to XL which is like a 12-18 month size. You can see it at www.kwiksew.com. I really like the Kwik Sew patterns. If you can't find what you want or already have a t-shirt pattern with the sleeve style you like in the right size, you can use it and add length to the bottom. Just extend the side seams down til it's as long as you want, then add about an inch for hemming/drawstring or elastic casing- however you want to finish it.

If you want one without sleeves you don't really need a pattern. I made tons of them for my son. You only need 3 pieces, the back and two fronts. I made mine with a zipper. If you don't want a zipper you can just do two pieces, back and front. Trace one of your current sacks but make it wider and longer. The sew up the sides and the shoulders. If you make them out of fleece you don't need any work on the edges, other wise just hem all the raw edges.
