What To Do With Laptops/Printers/Etc?

We currently have 2 desks, why I have no idea... all they do is collect clutter!!! We have 2 laptops and a printer that need a home but there HAS to be a better solution than our current one. At the moment DH's desk has a whole lot of crap on it, but NOT his laptop because it is usually somewhere around the house. My desk has my laptop and printer and some books and other random things. The books I think would be easy to find another home for or to just reorganize on this desk (it is one of those desks that has the desk piece then a top hutch type piece that has a shelf). So yeah... any thoughts? Should we ditch one desk and create a spot to put DHs laptop when he isn't toting it around the house? There is WAY too much furniture in our little dining room/office!!!

I feel that it is important for me to have my own desk but it is in an office not the living room.

Do you have a wireless router that connects to the printer? You could set up a printer station that isn't associated with a desk.

Our printer isn't wireless... Really wish it was!! It used to be important that we had our own desks, but now I am a SAHM so basically use my laptop to get on here and pay bill and such, and he is in the Army so while he does have work to do sometimes at home, he doesn't like sitting at a desk to do it. His computer really just needs a place to be put when we have company over, if he ever needed to sit at a desk we could always move my laptop so he could sit here. I have no idea... I did actually get started cleaning out/off my desk today though!! If we had a separate room for an office this wouldn't be such an issue but sadly we do not

I have an Apple AirPort Express wireless router. I plug my printer into wireless router and that's how I print wirelessly. Don't need a wireless-configured printer. Note: my DSL modem is not wireless, so I have wireless router plugged into DSL modem. You can't scan wirelessly with this set-up - printer cable has to be plugged into laptop USB port, but I don't scan much, so this works very well for me.

AirPort Express (works with Windows machines, too):

I'm single, but this will give you some ideas. My MacBook sits on the LR side o my breakfast bar/big counter that separates LR from K (I rent a small condo). I have stools on LR side of breakfast bar. MacBook is on the end against the wall, where an electrical outlet is. I have a lap desk if I want to use computer in bed or on the sofa. Since my only phone jack (aside from one on K wall) is in the BR - happens to be under my bed - DSL modem is plugged in there, with wireless router under bed, too. I have a surge protector plugged into the outlet next to bed, and everything is plugged into it. My printer is on a wooden chair next to bed, plugged into wireless router under bed. It's right in my line of sit through BR door when sitting at breakfast bar, so it happens I can see if I have issues while printing, need to add more paper, etc.

My place is small, so while I have a small round collapsible IKEA kitchen table, I don't use it. K is too small. I prefer to use breakfast bar.
