Anyone had a reaction to healthy times maple arrowroot cookies?

i gave my son one and ate a whole box myself - it's wheat, dairy, soy free. It has oat flour and barley flour and unsulphured molasses as its main ingredients with some arrowroot.

My son's clear skin got all rashy again - it was just like a flare up when he gets soy or dairy. Same symptoms and prolonged - i.e. lasted over a week and a half.

I suspect the barley flour. I've read that babies with a soy intolerance can have a cross-over reaction with barley flour. I am soooo bummed. Those cookies were yummy and Healthy Times does a great job w/their foods (i.e. they claim no cross contamination with/soy/dairy/etc).

Sigh. Barley is in everything too!

Barley is a gluten grain. Is it possible that your dc is gluten intolerant rather than just wheat allergic or intolerant?

eta: Also, oats have huge potential for cross contamination by wheat.
