3 Years and counting (plus tandem for 11 months)

I'm really excited, tomorrow is DS's 3rd birthday and we've managed to keep up a beautiful breastfeeding relationship. I'm the only person I know in my family who has breastfed for longer than 2 weeks, I used to get plenty of "are you STILL breastfeeding?!" comments but now they just let me get on with it and ignore my "weirdness".
When DS1 was born I intended to feed him for 1 year... I thought if they were old enough to ask for it, it was gross but the month he turned 1 his dad walked out and I didnt want to take away another thing he loved. I'm so glad I carried on or I'd have missed out.
Tandem feeding was hard at 1st but now its great and I intend to feed the boys til they are ready to stop
I'll finish with something DS1 said the other day that made me smile: "Mummy, your boobies are MARVELLOUS!"

Yay! Congratulations, that is wonderful. I was excited when I made it to 3 years (also while tandeming his brother who turned 1 then). It really is an awesome accomplishment.
