Thanks, everyone. It's good to be back. I'm not into PPD territory yet, but I think I'm on the cusp where you could go either direction.
I'm on that line where you can either break down and bawl or go make some muffins. I prefer muffins to tears. I know that dealing with everything is going to happen at some point, but I think it will work better for me in managed doses. Right now it's mostly a question of "how do I return to normal life after this?" So I figure that doing more normal things will help. And as soon as Mercy's cord comes off, we're going to go take a nice bath in the tub of her accidental birthing.
Pain isn't traumatic for me, but the loss of normality has been. But I feel very spoiled being upset about losing normal when I could have lost my baby. Placental abruptions at home are not noted for their good outcomes. I think more rest would probably be helpful, but my husband is either sick or has bad allergies so I'm in the best position right now to take care of kids and the house. He's resting now with the toddler asleep, so hopefully he's more up to taking care of things later today.
