This kid wants to eat a snack and drink his milk at the same time. And he becomes quite unhappy when I explain that he has to swallow before he can have milk.

Yours too? DD bites if I make the mistake of thinking "well, it's only a tiny bit of food left in her mouth...."

Oh yeah, ouchie! I just love trying to explain things to him. Sometimes he gets it and sometimes he doesn't.

Same trouble here, she takes a piece of food puts it in her mouth and turns around and dives in for milk, twice she did it when I wasn't paying close attention and ended up nipping me and the other day I stopped her told her she had to finish what was in her mouth first, man did she get mad at me, I guess at 13 months its a hard concept to grasp!

DS did this a few times before I realized that food in mouth=BITING!! Have you tried giving a little cup of water with snacks? I also put my DS in his highchair when he eats, so he doesn't really get the oppurtunity to nurse while eating anymore.

yeah I offer water but he still goes for the good stuff. His great grandmother died, and we were very close to her and he's having a hard time coping with that so he's having a lot of tantrums, and pretty much refuses to eat in his highchair right now.

Mine literally tried having cookies and milk last night. With teething biscuit in hand he'd take a bite, take a sip . . .
