Well, to be honest I don't know if they work. Negative after negative isn't exactly a double-blind study.

But I haven't had any evaps and this is the second time I've ordered them. From Amazon, arrived in 3 business days both times. http://www.amazon.com/Wondfo-W1-Preg...4127425&sr=8-2 If you really want to go nuts they also have 50 for $11.36.

Hi Everyone - Sorry I haven't been posting this month - It has been a bad month for me! I'm almost certain I'm out this month, BFN on Sunday - 11dpo with FRER and I'm starting to feel my pre-AF cramping. I have to test again before I stop the progesterone on Thursday, but I'm already grieving this cycle

I know I shouldn't complain about having short ovulatory cycles... but I O so freakin' early that I feel like I am constantly in the TWW (I spend so much more time there than in Waiting to O).

If I don't get pregnant this cycle we will hit the one year mark of trying (already hit the one year post VR date and that really bummed me out). Next cycle is #14 for me.

This cycle I'm trying to get scheduled for an HSG - I was really hoping it wouldn't be necessary! Anyone BTDT that can reassure me it's really not that bad... I've heard it is less painful if you've already had children

My DH is taking the kids to Grandma's for Memorial Day weekend and (If my cycle proceeds as it normally does) he will be returning on the day after I normally O. No way I'm giving up an empty house to myself to spend the weekend with my mother in law I may do another round of Clomid to try to push my O date back although my last round of clomid I still O'd on CD 12 - which would be the day that DH returns, so that would at least give us one shot

I guess I really just needed to vent - thanks for listening

the ic's work great- at least the opks do. but gosh, think twice before buying 25 HPTs. that kind of stock-age just cant be healthy.

here's what's been on my mind lately, just in general. i know that a lot of us regulars on this thread are taking a step back right now- so many of us, ladies i just adore here, are just feeling broken spirited, and i think some of that has got to do with gettin all caught up in a "beautiful, promising" chart and peeing on stick after stick and getting bfns. it's exhausting. all you need is maybe 3 hpts per cycle, you know? only 10% of hpts are positive at 10 dpo! if you test at 10 dpo, 12 dpo, and 14 dpo, you've probably covered it. and except for those of us on progesterone, aunt flo will let you know eventually if you are pg anyway, even if you dont test till you are late. it shouldnt be that hard, really, it's the matter of waiting a few days to find out. that's nothing. our mothers had to wait weeks and the rabbit had to die for them to find out! our grandmothers had to wait till they got fat! for me, i'm not temping past confirming o anymore, and im not testing repeatedly. it just sucks the life out of ya. maybe some of y'all have a stronger fortitude and it doesnt get to you- probably the ones who get their bfps in a month or two, but for those of us who do this as a marathon instead of a sprint, it can just be hard.

sweetest- hsg's arent that bad. and they are pretty quick, like 15 mins.
As far as what Karmab just said:

It might not be true for everyone, but I sure did find it disheartening this last cycle to get 3 BFN's. Though, for some, i think the waiting and not testing is more stressful. But I agree... not obsessively testing is definitely something to consider.

Last year, when I was trying to conceive, I was convinced my husband should be there with me when I took each test.. it didn't seem right that i would find out first.. i wanted us both to share in the excitement. Problem was, we just both shared in the disappointment each month. So the month we finally conceived, I didn't take a single test. I just waited until I had 18 high temps (TCOYF's dx of pregnancy). My midwives trusted that I was pregnant, and that was that. It was kind of fun that way. Instead of one big moment of finding out, it was this slow progression of discovering the pregnancy. I recommend it (if you have the patience.. and I admit I may not have it this next time). Just thought i'd throw that out there as an option!

Yeah I think a lot of us are feeling down this month. Maybe it's the spring and the blossoming of everything BUT our uteruses (uteri? lol what is the plural of uterus).

I feel very laid back this cycle but I have a feeling it won't make it any less sad when I get AF ugh.

I feel like there isn't even much to add to the conversation

Good luck to all the newcomers! Sorry if we sound like a grumpy group! We are really nice...promise!
Karmab- I completely agree with everything you've said. I am considering not temping after O this cycle too. I can't decide if it'll make me more relaxed or if I'll be stressed that I don't know what's going on. Somehow, when I got pregnant with DS, I didn't test at all until I was late. It didn't even occur to me to test early! I wish I could be that strong now. Luckily, I only have a couple of ICs left, and I don't intend to buy any more. I also have a gut feeling that I'm not going to get pregnant this cycle, so I don't think I'll feel so compelled to obsess this month.

DONE! EEEK! I've never ordered IC's before...I'm excited! Thanks!

Yes! This is what it is! I feel like everything is blooming, and beautiful..and here we sit empty. I saw like a hundred(well not literally) pg women this weekend. And the selfish part of me couldnt feel excited for them. UGH...thats not me. And I saw a newborn(like MAYBE a couple of weeks old) yesterday and I couldnt even look at it...SO not me. It's been 3 months of not trying/not avoiding and 3 months of trying and MC...so 6 months of testing will make anyone grumpy.

AND WE REALLY ARE A GREAT GROUP OF WOMEN! We're just having an OFF couple of weeks.

I don't think I'm going to temp after O...I mean, I'm barely temping before it but I'll temp until my temp goes up enough that I'm satisfied and then call it a day.
My charts tend to look like pregnancy charts after O, the temps stay high and sometimes go triphasic after 7 or 8 DPO, it's just rude to get BFN after BFN and have stupid FF telling you you have 81 pregnancy points which they can kindly shove when AF starts.

Maybe we should start a not temping after O group.

I haven't had any children and it was fast and relatively painless for me. I experienced brief moments of AF-like cramping and that was it. My doctor, the nurse at the radiology place, and the radiologist all said that many people get pregnant right after an HSG so fingers crossed!

me too. when i got pg with my twins, i found out at 7 wks and 6 days! surprise!!! (then i didnt find out there were two of them until 28 wks, but that's another story.) with #3, (the only one i was trying for) the thought never occured to me to test before af was late. with #4, i got pg while bf'ing and i wasnt having periods, so i didnt think to test until almost 7 wks, when i noticed 2 symptoms- i fainted 3 times in a week, and i was growing these fat pad lumps on the tops of my hips, which i also got, even before i gained a pound, with some nice stretch marks, in my previous 2 pregnancies.
and tulpen, the thing is, even if you are temping after o, you still dont REALLY know what is going on. we've seen that here over and over- faked out by great charts, bfps from charts that garnered no applause. if you want to know if temp drops like the day before af is due, take it on that day and the day af is due. although like fm pointed out, that's not always a reliable indicator either. we can do it, ladies. now you all help me keep my resolve when the time comes, ok? the first time i think my boobs hurt or im crampy, remind me it's progesterone, and im just paying more attention because of ttc, ok?

Sounds like a good plan to me!

Me TOO! I don't know how I wasn't SO obsessed last time?! lol.

I think it's because i assumed it would work and it did kwim? It's like...i had unprotected sex therefore OF COURSE i'd be pregnant and i'll test on the first day of my missed period like all the commercials say lol.

That all sounds good! And I agree about the temps not really being an indicator of what's going on. My past 3 charts have been gorgeous, but they all ended in AF! Who cares what the temps are if they don't lead to a BFP?

Okay, so I resolve to not temp after O is confirmed this cycle. I bet I'll sleep a whole lot better!

karma, I'll be sure to remind you that any symptom can be caused from progesterone or TTC obsession!
Karma and Nintendork - thanks for reassuring me about the HSG... I probably should have done it a few months back but I just kept putting it off in hopes it wouldn't be necessary.

Funny, this cycle I gave up on temping once I confirmed O - it never tells me anything, just makes me obsessive. I did take a couple temps just to keep my chart moving along but I didn't worry about their significance I also gave up on OPKs this month - not such a big deal for me since I O pretty regularly! After AF We just BD'd about every other day until I confirmed O.

For me the 2nd week of the TWW just sucks the life out of me! I don't test before 10 or 11 days but knowing that it is possible to know drives me crazy! I hate seeing BFN's and always intend to wait until 15dpo but I never make it that long.

Honestly, I wish I could just give up on testing all together (I love your no testing story, scarletjane!) But even if I start spotting at 15dpo I would still feel the need to test because I'm on progesterone - and I won't stop taking it until I see a BFN.

As far as my lack of obsessiveness with my first two (waited until AF was due with both!), umm, that is because I never got a chance to become obsessive. Both were planned and happened right away (DH used to joke that he didn't get the benefit of increased BD because we never had to "try" - now he complains that it seems like we are always "trying" - HA!

Oh and my EDD if I had been pregnant this month would have been DH's birthday (last cycle it would have been 1/1/11) - the universe is definitely toying with me So my next step to lessen my obsession: stop checking my EDD until I get a BFP!

It's nice knowing I'm not the only one feeling blue this month...misery loves company Hang in there ladies, I'm hoping to see lots of BFPs from you all!

Welcome to all the newbies! You seem like a sweet bunch

Scarletjane-- So sorry about your daughter. I'm glad you're here with us now.

CLH_X3: I'm 5 DPO too!

jenniferadurham: Good luck with those ICs! Our bodies do weird things sometimes, so hopefully your CM will kick in soon.

sweetest77: I understand. We're on a year and a half, just about We started in December '08, so... yeah. A year and a half exactly. We'll get there!

That sounds like such a nice way to do it! I'd try that approach if I didn't have about 50 ICs and FRERs waiting for me

Welcome! Where would you like me to put you on the list? Waiting to know?

You may not have o'd. It's hard to tell. You do seem to have a dip an rise around day 8 in other charts before you actual o on day 12ish. See what the next few temps bring.

I would think so. We see it in animals based on overall health, dietary and environmental changes.

I don't keep more than 2 or 3 HPTs. I don't test until AF is due. I tried testing early once and it just made me nuts.

I do believe in temping past o, though, based on the recommendation from three separate midwives and a nutritionist who specializes in women's issues. I had stopped temping by 4 or 5 dpo and when I went to my midwife to discuss fertility she said she would really like to see me temp all the way until AF. She said she knew it was such a bummer, but they like to see that temp information to see how progesterone is behaving during that phase. I asked two other midwives the same thing and the nutritionist and they all confirmed. Oddly, after that info, I didn't mind temping until AF.

I didn't get FF VIP for two reasons $$$ and the stupid preggo points.

Yep. Preggos are everywhere. I work with 4 of them. It's in my face all day everyday because I know so many. And then I know a ton trying to get pregnant and those who just had babies. It's so horrible to feel this way.

AFMAF should be here any day. I had a little spotting today. I'm kinda excited to get her because I know it means a new fresh cycle and a chance to see how my body is working after my mc. Hopefully she leaves town before I go camping. I do not want to attract bears. If she comes today that means my LP was probably 10 days. Not the best, but not shabby for after a mc. Hopefully, it is longer next cycle. I got my progesterone supplement today and will start in about 14 days. Weee.

I can do this. I bet I can even wait to test longer than 10 DPO. I hate BFNs. HATE. I've seen so many of them lately I'm traumatized.

You know what drives me crazy? When you think you ovulated, like yesterday, and then you temp today and it only went up .2. WTF. Ugh....
