My first son teethed with lightening speed, and really didnt have a hard time with it at all. So im in unfamiliar territory.
DS2 still only has four teeth. He has all four molars and all four incisors coming in at a snails pace. Its got to be torture. Last night was AWFUL, but I am trying to figure out if it was from teething or should I look into something else being wrong.
He thrashed and cried all.night.long. Its the worst night hes had in a very long time. We all slept in 15 minute incriments with a couple of 1 hour stretches in there. It hasnt been this bad since he was about four months old. However, the crying was more of an "Im pissed off I cant sleep" screech, and he had NO TEARS. (Hes definetly hydrated, so thats not the issue) Towrds the end of the day yesterday he had very red cheeks and they were on FIRE. It was warm out, and he was playing in the sun, but it was only like 69. Is the rosy, warm cheeks a symptom im unaware of teething? Now that I think about it, it makes sense. I also know that teething is worse at night when they are lying down trying to sleep. He kept wanting to drink, whining for Bah bah!!! BAh bah!!! I suppose I should have tried some oragel, but didnt think of it in my stupor.

Teething was really hard on Liam too. Have you tried a little motrin at night? I think all kids have different teething symptoms. My friend's DS always gets a fever when he gets a tooth. EVERY time. Liam usually gets a runny nose, and sleeps HORRIBLE. The good news though, is that he just got his first 2 year molar this week, and besides a little extra fussiness, I didn't even notice he was getting the tooth!! I just looked back there Friday and it was there! That NEVER happened with any of his other teeth. So maybe once he is a little older he will have an easier time of it.
. Im such an idiot! And now that I think of it, he suddently had a nbunch more little dry patches on the one side of his face last night, but we were like, he didnt have any milk!!!
