Plugged duct while pregnant and not nursing???

I am no stranger to plugs and mastitis. I nursed my first three for 9 consecutive years and have had more mastitis than anyone I've ever met.

HOWEVER. I weaned my now 6 year old in July 2007.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant, and presented with what must be a plugged duct Saturday night. It's a bit better today, and I've thankfully not developed mastitis, but really? A plugged duct in pregnancy?

Anyone else experience this or have info about it? I did wear a bra that's a bit too tight that day (ribcage is expanding; it's a 34 and I really need a 36/38) but it wasn't uncomfortable.

I've started on lecithin and doing some of the plugged duct stuff, trying to rest, but of course no baby to nurse.

Mostly I just am frustrated. I had hoped that somehow I might avoid the constant recurrent mastitis with this nursling; a plug before baby's even born is not promising, though.
