Cotton jammies for big kids?

Anyone know where to get cotton pj's for kids bigger than 5t? I can't find any that aren't ridiculously expensive. They are all flame resistant which we don't do or characters which we also try to avoid. My oldest loves loves loves cute jammies and we are having a hard time finding any. Oh and she hates nightgowns.

I like the Children's Place cotton pjs. They're snug fitting and all cotton, not treated with flame retardant. It's what I need for dd, who has very very sensitive skin. And they're character free.

If you're looking for long sleeves, you'll either have to buy used (Ebay) or hit up the stores for clearance stuff because they're out of season. If you're OK with short sleeves, they have them in stock now.

ETA: They have them for boys and girls up to size 14. They do run small. Ds wears a size 8/10 for shirts, and needs a 10/12 for their PJs.

i'm having the same issues with my 8 yr old ds. sorry, i have no suggestions!! i've resorted to jammy bottoms that i just happen to come across and cotton shirts that i get at walmart or something similar!

Hanna Andersson. They are a bit pricey if you don't live near an outlet store (like I do) but they last a really long time and seem to fit for a few sizes more than other typically sized clothes. My 5 yr old has been wearing size 110 for 2 years now and still fits into them just fine and she's 45 lbs.

It's hit or miss but I just go to random stores. Walmart sometimes has some that aren't characters (I think right now they have some animal ones). Kohls, JCPenny, Sears, Target all randomly have them (mixed in with characters). We do some characters (thomas the train is ds's big one) so it's a little easier for us. When we do find some that are ok (and with ds he is very very specific about what he will wear and what he won't ) then we tend to buy multiple pairs of the same jammies.

We do Hanna, Children's Place, CWD Kids (their brand; they carry another one that uses flame resistance I think), and Company Kids. Gymboree has some but we generally don't shop there.

Costco makes organic cotton pjs that come in sizes up to 12, I think. Similar to Hanna Andersson, although I still think the Hanna's are slightly better quality.

Gymboree and Gap make some, and they're often reasonable when on sale. Old Navy too. And CWD kids sells Sara's prints ones that are really cute and sometimes on sale.

We have some from Gap and Children's Place in size 8. But you might not be able to find them in the summertime.

I just buy a large wardrobe of cotton shorts, shirts, tanks, etc. They can wear them during the day and pick out a clean outfit to wear to bed.

We have had good luck getting cotton jammies on sale at Gymboree--they almost always have something on sale. They do run on the very slim side, though (which is one of the reasons we buy them).

I get all my Hanna Andersson stuff from ebay. You can get really good deals. Have you checked out Carter's? DD just got some cotton jammies from them in 4T. We are also a fan of The Gap.

We like the ones from Rugged Bear. They are woven n such a way that they are not so tight fitting but are still flame resistant without the chemicals. Check out the kids long underwear from LL Bean too. Super comfy and soft.

I got three pair of Green Cotton from Garnet Hill for $29. I have found similar deals on Hanna Anderssons in the past. The previous wearer softens them up so they are even more comfy...

do you have a children's place outlet nearby? I get ds cotton jammies there for 3-5$ a pair for the next season, and they often have the larger sizes too.

and if you don't care if they have characters, check walmart. last spring i got long sleeve pajama sets for ds for $3.00 each and these were 4 piece sets, they were iron man, hulk, batman. I got 2-4pieces sets for last fall and 1-4piece set for this coming season, also got him 1 set at tcp outlet for about 4$, so ds is all set with 3 pairs of pj's for this coming fall, for about 8$

for this spring, i bought ds 1 pair of short sleeve pjs at the tcp outlet for about 3$ and he got a couple hand-me down pj shirts that he is wearing with cotton shorts from last year that are a bit too short for outside play, but not too small to wear as pjs

Those are great, and great prices! I was appalled the last time I was at Kohl's and all of their PJs were $20 or more per set. That's crazy!!
