Stroller for twin babies?

Could you give me some names? I'd like one that holds two infant carseats. Traditionally, I've never moved my babes around like that-- I've always taken them out and popped them in a sling-- but I realize that with two, that might not be an option. I'm not looking for "the best" necessarily. Money is going to be really tight, so we'll want to find a good deal.

I think a double snap and go might be your best bet for 2 infant car seats. We got ours for $40 at a consignment store. Then we got a side by side stroller for when they can sit up.

I second the recommendation. I got my snap n go from craigslist for $40 in great condition (I've even seen some for less on there since). I am getting a side by side (combi) from someone on CL for $90.

I third the Snap n'Go. Lightweight and easy enough to move around. We use a valco side by side stroller now. It's also handy to have a single stroller kicking around so you can wear one babe and push the other one in a single stroller.

I think I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but I HATE our snap n go! Although it is lightweight and easy to fold/unfold, I find it to be SO hard to maneuver... Impossible to turn with one hand. Fine for a quick trip in or out of a store, but definitely not for walks or anything. We also have a BOB (which I think can generally found for a good price on CL) that is so easy to push and steer, but it's heavy for lifting in and out of a trunk and doesn't take car seats. I'm sire there's something out there that's better then a snap n go, bit I just don't know what it is!!!

The snap-and-go is neat, but I think I was wanting something with seats because I'll have a three year old (and a 7 and a 9 and a 11, but that's not my point, LOL!) and it would be nice to pop one babe in the sling, one in the stroller, and still have a place for Daniel to sit if needed.

Someone on Craigslist is selling a DuoGlider for $50 and we're going to go and look at it, but another twin mama I know called it "a tank."

oh oh oh! we have the graco quattro tour duo. i see them on craigslist here often for under/around $100. i LOVE it. it was great with two carseats, or one carseat and the 3 year old. i can even put both the babies in the back seat and the 3 year old in the front. it is easy to steer and has a million cup holders. the handles are great for hooking diaper bags and shopping bags on and it has a ginormous basket.

Oh, that's perfect! And I never even thought of putting the babies in together. This is such a paradigm shift And your babies are gorgeous!

We also had this stroller that someone gave to us and I hated it. It was huge and heavy. We had to remove a part of it to get it into the back of our van. I was so glad to give it away.

For the first 5 months, I either carried both car seats (build those muscles) or else put both babies together in a single stroller. Of course, this was the winter, so we really didn't do any walks. Now I have a duoglider, and yes, it is a tank. However, it fits two car seats and when they get older it has two snack trays and two canopies. Thus, I'll put up with it. I was given a side-by-side and found it just too wide to navigate on sidewalks very well. I was also given an evenflo front-back which was a dream to steer and much lighter and easier to collapse. However, there were no snack trays, parent trays or most importantly a basket. It was just too basic for my needs.

Totally agree the snap n go is tough to move...I much preferred the Graco Duo Glider I traded my SnG for...it is bulky and heavy so you won't want to use if forever but I resold my used one for $50 which is $5 more than I paid for it so I could get a lighter weight stroller now that I don't transport the girls in their infant seat. I however didn't like the duo glider after infant seats because it has a three point harness and my girls could wiggle around too much for me to feel safe. Lots of people here have reccommended the PegPerego Aria so I bought one used on ebay for $190 with shipping which was alot of money for me but from what I've heard this will be the last stroller I need to buy and resale on it will be good. Check craigslist and ebay for deals. If you want something to take on walks outside DO NOT get the snap n go if you just want something for quick trips to the store etc it should be fine.

I had a DuoGlider too. It did what I needed it to do - very sturdy and a huge basket. I've walked with it to the grocery store and brought the groceries home with it... I was glad to get the babies in and out of places in their seats during the winter with it. Last summer I wore a baby and had the other and a toddler in it. I see lots of these at garage sales and craigslist! If you haven't bought car seats yet, sometimes people sell them with the double strollers.

I also had an PegPerego Aria. I loved how small, light and easy to fold and set up it was. We even put it between a seat and the minivan sliding door. Got through every door, but you do have to sometimes hit them just right.

Now I have the Baby Jogger City Mini Double which I learned about from reading from other twin mamas. Love it. It does have carseat adapters - but everything is separate...

I recently got an older model Graco-505BW series. My mother got it for me at a thrift shop for twenty bucks. I don't think it will hold infant seats but it does fully recline. It takes up the same room as my single stroller (not an umbrella-one that reclined and had a nice basket but wasn't super fancy either). It doesn't have a cup seat or trays but it does have a large basket. The only think I really don't care for is that the canopy really only covers one little one. I've heard you can buy canopies though? I got it because my dd will be two when the next arrives, and we will use it occassionally for trips to the mall, zoo, etc. I also found a clip on cup holder for only fifty cents yard saling, so you can sometimes find accessories for a basic model stroller cheaply.

Oh, the snap n go isn't a fantastic stroller by any means, but it holds two seats and is lightweight. Mine is about to be put up on craigslist again. My twins were born in mid-February and are now getting to the point where I can sit them in a reclining regular stroller. I also have a 2-year-old that needs a spot on occasion so I carry one, put one in the stroller, and I've even put both in the same seat as well. But it's just starting to get warm here in Ohio. The snap n go did do VERY well at the park today!

The Twin Aria was terrible for us. We took a borrowed one to Mexico and our friends that we were traveling with also brought one. Neither of us liked it at all (both of our older kids were 1 & 3). It was hard to open, hard to close, and hard to push. The basket dragged on the ground if it had more than a flip flop in it. Considering we don't even live in the same city it didn't seem like a coincidence.

I'm about to buy a Combi Twin Sport used off craigslist. Honestly, I can't see spending a ton on a stroller unless I'm going to be using it daily and I don't.

i love our twin aria for indoor strolling (like at the mall). the wheels are too small for more than smooth sidewalks or indoors. ours is really really easy to open and close. it doesn't have a basket though. we got it for $50 on craigslist. the newer models have the front wheels inset and that looks even better. ours get caught often going through doorways.
