It's so hard to gift food with all of the intollerences, allergies, preferences, diets, lifestyles out there!
What about something healthy like vinegrettes in pretty dollar store bottles/jars etc. (This went over big for christmas. Everyone thanked me and told me how much baked stuff they throw away every year.

)
I did a pomegranate vinegrette and a sun dried tomato one.
Flavored vinegars or herb infused oils would also be good.
I added a little note about suggested uses (for the sun dried tomato one I suggested that in addition to dressing a salad, it was super good on chicken! The pomegranate one was great for marinating beef, or wild game.)
