Is anyone still actually watching Stargate Universe?

I was irritated with the show when I had to stop letting my kid watch it with us (she had watched all the others) but I am just getting bored.

The characters are annoying me. If the ship blew up or was crushed by a black hole I probably wouldn't care.

Aww! DH and I watch! But we are pretty hardcore stargate fans in general. Is it as good as Atlantis? No way. But I'm interested. I want to see what happens, at least.

We actually own all the stargate DVDs.

But I also own Battlestar Galactica. It seems like they are trying to make Stargate into BSG and I am not liking it.

Yep. Still watching it. Probably just because we have the DVR set to record it and we're not watching much else right now. The plotlines are so old and predictable. I agree - it's boring.
I did eventually give up on Atlantis. I can't imagine sticking with Universe much longer.

Yes, we watch it here. And yeah.. it has plot holes to drive a tractor though but we like it.

I do like Rush ok.

Mostly because he wasn't intimate with someone's body while they weren't there.

FWIW if anyone *EVER* needs to borrow my body for some reason or another it is NOT ok to sleep with people in my body.

I'm waiting for the one where some guy needs to switch with TJ. It will be so movie of the week (if its not played for laughs).

More cool yet scary aliens! I'd even like more adventures on pine tree planets just to get off of the ship.

Less of young, less of the shipboard politics, less Chloe

More adventure, less claustrophobia.

We still watch it because DH will watch anything sci-fi and I want to share some TV show with him.

DH watches it...I usually do chores while he does. I'm not crazy about the sex scenes. I enjoyed the other two Stargate series and I just cannot get into this one.

Same here, I didn't watch very much of the original Stargate series (DH is a hardcore fan) I picked up toward the end and then we went through Atlantis together and now we're watching Universe.

I wasn't impressed with the sex scenes either.

I am not a prude but I used to let my kid watch Stargate. So there we are watching the first episode and bow chika wow wow. I was displeased

Hehe I've heard it called Battlestargate Universe. It's waiting on the DVR but we kinda quit after the first few. We LOVED SG1, this is just too much drama and suspense...actually reminds me of my impression of LOST, which I never got into either.

I'm kinda liking the season finale. It feels much more tied in with the mythology of SG and not just because Jack and Sam appear

We are HUGE Battlestar Galactica fans, so we picked up on this. We are way behind on the DVR, probably 3 or so episodes.

Yes, I agree, they are trying to make it like BSG. DH and I often compare people to BSG people. (I actually call the Colonel, "Admiral" and I wish he had a hot son, sigh...)

We never watched any of the previous Stargates, except for the movie. I like this okay. We are also watching V, because we are big sci-fi fans. Both series COULD be a lot better. Maybe next season?

The new season premiered this week. The finale was satisfactorily concluded but it was sad.
