I just made my first pair of crocheted shorties and they are pretty bulky and funny looking. I used a bloomer type pattern. How do your knit/crotchet shorties fit your little one? Show me pictures Please!

I don't have any pics of ds in shorties yet as the weather hasn't really allowed him to wear them much yet. However, I simply shortened the legs of the Pimp My Longies knit pattern to a length that currently fits ds. I measured the inseam on a pair of his shorts, knit leg 1 to that length, counted the rows, and then knit that many rows in leg 2.

I have pictures in 2 places ... and yes, they are bulkier than a PUL wrap.

these are made from sweaters, and are less bulky:

Those are beautiful and so creative! I love the patchwork look in some of them. How inspiring. I am finding I do like my two pair of crotchet shorties. I find paired with dresses or long tops they don't look as bulky. I did use a heavier yarn than it looks like you did. I just used what I had around. When I find a good affordable source of yarn i might experiment some more. Thanks for sharing!
