Don't know if this article/news report has been shared here or not yet. Thought I'd pass it along. It's an investigative report on bedsharing/breastfeeding.

That tombstone ad was offensive

Making bedsharing illegal?

Dr McKenna was awesome I'm glad he shared that one thing the deaths all had in common was formula feeding.

It's ridiculous to make bedsharing illegal.

But it's also equally ridiculous to not be aware of negative risk factors if you want to bedshare, (eg. sedating medications/substances, obesity, smoking, etc).

What bothers me is that the mother was drunk, and irresponsible, but now all bedsharing is supposedly "wrong".

I mean, if a parent was driving a car drunk with their infant in the car, and they died, people wouldn't say that taking your child for a car ride was wrong. They'd just say that driving drunk was wrong.
