Trader Joe's powder laundry detergent and fruit trees?

Our laundry water pipe runs out into the yard and we have a pomegranate tree that receives most of the water. Is this ok for the fruit? The tree itself is as healthy as can be, so it's not having trouble with the detergent, but I'm concerned about eating fruit that is grown with laundry detergent water. Does anyone else grow fruit trees with laundry detergent water?

It should be fine. The only issue I can think of is that over time the detergent might change the pH of your soil. So you might want to check it every year to see if you need to add some amendments to keep the soil pH favoriable.

Honestly I would be worried about the "soy based fabric softener". Just because its soy based doesn't mean it is non-toxic.

Thank you for the feedback, mamas. I wasn't aware that there is a soy-based fabric softener in the TJ's laundry soap. The box labels don't say anything about it.
