Dh and I finally sat down and hashed through the names we both like. Our final list is:
Her middle name will be James, after her big brother who passed away a couple of years ago. He was a joy of a kid, and we really feel like his name is a blessing. It's also a family name.
So here are the stories/ideas behind each name:
Vivian: "Full of Life" ...it's what James' name means to us, and what we want for this little girl, too. The meaning is important for us. It's also the name that keeps coming up, and has been insisted upon
by a certain very persistent girl in my dreams before we even knew this was a girl pregnancy. Nickname would be Vivi. ...I should add, the drawback of this name is that a friend was maybe planning on using it if she has a third child and it's a girl.
Imogen: "Last born" ...which will be true.
The meaning is less important than the name, which we think is very pretty. I also love Imogen Cunningham, the photographer. Not sure about "Imogen James," but it's not bad. Nickname would be Ginny.
Ingrid: "Beautiful as Ing" The lack of meaning is a downside to this name, but Dh really likes the name itself. I think it's pretty, too. The source of the name doesn't fit with the rest of our kids, though, or our ancestry. We're Irish/German/Italian/English and a little Welsh, and our kids' names are very English.
Aurelia: "Golden" This is a last-minute addition, so we're still getting used to the idea. Both of us love the name (as well as similar names like Amelie, or Amelia...but this is our favorite). Golden might not make sense for us, though...we're all dark-haired people.
Corinne: "Maiden" Ho-hum meaning, but a lovely name. It goes well with our daughter's name, too. Nickname would be Cora.
Adeline: "Nobility or Good Queen" Eh on the meaning. This was almost dd1's name, and it's a family name (a grandmother on both sides). I love the name Adele, dh loves the name Adeline, so this one works for us.
Miriam: "Wished-for child" ...which is so true. We might go for the spelling Myriam. Nickname would by Myra or Miri.
....So, what are your thoughts? Your favorites? How heavily would you weight these dreams of Vivian (In them, the girl insists her name is Vivian...and really, she's a delightful child)? Anything to consider about these names? Last name, if it matters, starts with an M.

...yeah. With all the Addisons, cre8tive Ad- names, and Adelaides it's probably getting very popular. Though we'd call her by her whole name or
